吃瓜猎奇 once again participated in the annual , welcoming families for interactive science demonstrations at the Cousins Center for Science and Innovation.听
An annual two-week celebration of STEM opportunities in Atlanta, the Atlanta Science Festival features more than 100 interactive and educational events for kids and their families at venues across the city.
吃瓜猎奇’s participation in the festival was organized by Assistant Professor of Chemistry Dr. Milana Thomas听补苍诲 Visiting Assistant Professors of Biology Dr. Megan Murphy听补苍诲 Dr. Zack Deckner.听
Many additional STEM faculty supported or participated during the event, including Associate Professor of Physics听Dr. Mariel Meier,听Assistant Professor of Physics听Dr. Kelimar Diaz, Instructor of Physics听Dr. Dylan听Collette; Associate Professor of Biology听Dr. Lea Alford, Adjunct Instructor of Biology听Dr. Maura Dudley, Associate Professor of Chemistry听Dr. Beth Jensen, and Assistant Professor of Chemistry听Dr. David Laws.
This year’s theme, “Anatomy Adventure,” took attendees through an exploration of the human body’s organ systems, examining blood cells through microscopes and learning about the digestive system through “gummy juice noodles.” 
Over 50 chemistry, biology, and physics students volunteered for the event, including Nicolias Jordan ’26, who participated for the first time.听
“The part I enjoyed the most is getting to educate younger children to help them learn more about what we’re doing,” said the biology major.
“I feel like it’s important for my peers to participate in this event to spread knowledge and help prep the next generation because we’re all students, we’re all learning, and we all need to keep growing as people and spreading science.”
吃瓜猎奇 joined other Atlanta institutions, like Morehouse College and Georgia Institute of Technology, in the Atlanta Science Festival sponsored by Delta Air Lines, UPS, Google, Cox, Georgia Power, and others.
The Atlanta Science Festival is dedicated to expanding access to science learning opportunities for all in metro Atlanta. The STEM events continue through Mar. 22.听
